danger harvey danger harvey danger

musical rorschach test - "...i wanna publish zines and rage against machines i wanna pierce my tongue it doesn't hurt it feels fine..." - though unlike the rorschach there is only one right answer.  seattle based one hit wonder harvey danger.  except they never wanted to be a one hit wonder.  they just wanted to make music or get laid or something. then flagpole sitta, quoted above, became #1 in a roundabout way and interminable on radio.  they couldn't recreate the success so they broke up, or something like that, but now they're back and offering the entirety of their new cd little by little as a free download off their site.

of course they still want to sell records, and actually are, thereby proving that file sharing can be a promotional tool, not just a way to pickpocket the record industry.  so without pissing off the riaa, i can fully share my favorite song off their new cd.  harvey danger actually wants me to.  it's called little round mirrors [expired] and with just 6 more listens it will surpass kim english's unspeakable joy on my personal itunes top 25 most played.  so if you like it, download the song from me or the cd from them and share and maybe buy the real cd in the store (it comes with a bonus cd of more stuff).  most interesting to me though, is why they're releasing it for free online.  something to do with wanting people to hear their music. how crazy is that?
