dishonorable mention: www.dianadegarmo.com. most recent tv appearance? "1-25-04: the ellen degeneres show". though to be fair i did see her on the insider being interviewed by kathie lee (epstein) gifford because she's in hairspray right now on broadway. but is it too much to ask her to update her site from her failed music career to her semi-budding broadway career? can't she at least get a myspace like k-fed? i think his mouth, penis and cornrows each have their own myspace. oh well diana, lose to fantasia and you lose to the world. p.s. love the page title "under construction". catchy.
2nd runner-up: www.alanritchson.com. dude who played aquaman on smallville (and caused a stir among the types of gay blogs that auto-publish pics of shirtless, wettish, youngish blonds) thinks he can sing and that people will care. but as evidenced by what happens when you click the shop link on his site, he needs to get the water out of his ass, which is much more vivid than saying ears. he wasn't event a top 24 contestant, just shucked his shirt on camera and worked the room (i.e. paula abdul). gong!
1st runner-up: in the event that the person with the most horrible one actually becomes successful, the runner-up site will be responsible for all the duties of the winner, which are none. and the 1st runner up is www.ajgil.com. it's got what one looks for in a bad ex-american idol contestant site. the top news story is dated 2.19.2004. the bio brags that he drives a "kia sephia, midnight black 1998". and there's big bold text on the homepage that says "information about aj's new movie coming soon", but it's not a link. imdb reveals that they must mean destination fame from 2004. can you say "direct to betamax"? i know you can. though props to him for the "stop sound" link on the homepage.
winner/loser: www.trenyceonline.com. read the last few paragraphs of her bio, which ends with the clinically self-delusional "with all of her many attributes, trenyce is preparing to take her career to the next level and achieve all of her goals. and what would stop this young star from reaching all of her goals? nothing. look for trenyce to be the next huge sensation in entertainment versatility." um, trenyce, colton ford can lay claim to being versatile - singing and porn - you can't. though judging by your too oiled legs in the gallery i'm the only one besides you to have ever visited, you may be on your way to an issue of leg show magazine, which isn't such a bad thing. not as bad as say, your voice, personality and fashion sense. p.s. when there's a giant picture of your head, put on a damn earring or two. it's not like your look is earthy granola and i don't feel like being confronted by your piercing holes.
left out of the horrible list are all those ex-aiers who are doing their own thing in the industry - putting out their own albums, getting minor but real record deals, writing for others - bottom line not being self-deluded to try to create a site that seems like it could be that of a major recording star. it's all about scale and reality, people.
final note, if anyone can hack into www.clayaiken.com and auto-redirect to www.desperateforcockclosetcases.com or simply www.gaiken.com, that would be super.
Ahahaha I love that you visit these idol sites on a regular basis! Jennifer Hudson had a pretty crappy one too. The navigation was so horrible.
